“What Is My Sister Doing Here?”
Claire stared at the sign for several seconds.
At first, she thought it had to be a coincidence.
Maybe Hannah was attending someone else’s wedding.
Maybe there was another Hannah.
Then she recognized one of the photographs displayed beside the entrance.
It was absolutely her sister.
Claire walked inside.
A staff member approached her.
“Hi, are you with the bride or groom?”
Claire looked toward the ballroom.
“My sister is the bride.”
The employee smiled.
“Wonderful. They’re about to start.”
Claire didn’t move.
Then she noticed something else.
The white floral arrangements lining the hallway looked familiar.
Too familiar.
She walked closer.
Small ivory ribbons were tied around each arrangement.
Claire had selected those ribbons herself.
And behind the reception desk were two wooden crates with her handwriting on them.
CLAIRE — TABLE DECOR
Her stomach dropped.
These weren’t just similar decorations.
They were hers.
