Someone Else Knew the Date
Investigators never publicly identified who delivered that letter.
The Morgans returned home several weeks later.
The basement passage was permanently sealed.
New cameras covered every side of the property.
Thomas agreed to cooperate with the reopened investigation into David Keller’s disappearance.
Daniel Voss remained under investigation.
Evan Keller admitted sending the other letters.
But the final message remained unexplained.
Three months later, Rebecca was organizing papers inside Thomas’s office.
She discovered a photograph tucked behind a drawer.
It showed Thomas.
David Keller.
Daniel Voss.
And a fourth man Rebecca had never seen before.
On the back was written:
Summer 2004 — The four of us.
Rebecca called Thomas upstairs.
She handed him the photo.
“Who’s the fourth person?”
Thomas stared at it for several seconds.
Then said:
“I haven’t seen him in twenty-two years.”
Rebecca asked:
“What’s his name?”
Before Thomas could answer—
the security system announced:
Motion detected. Front porch.
